Goal
Our client is a highly influential IT professional who provides online customer service training for IT staff. Compassionate Geek’s goal was to increase their visibility in the SERPs and, in turn, sell more of their online courses.
Challenge
The IT customer service industry is highly competitive. The SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) are flooded with content from high-authority sites like LinkedIn, Salesforce, and Dale Carnegie. Compassionate Geek was struggling with little to no visibility on the web.
Solution
Upon analyzing this site’s content, we found one major issue: it wasn’t speaking to the appropriate audience.
We reviewed the client’s buyer personas and updated the information to better reflect the new trends in search.
We completed a content audit and identified opportunities to optimize content to speak directly to the buyer persona.
We developed a content calendar centered around focused, moderate- to high-volume keywords that matched user intent.
We consistently provided SEO-optimized content, ensuring each piece spoke directly to its newly refined target audience.
Results
Just a few weeks after altering the client’s site content to speak to their target audience, we began to see an increase in clicks and impressions. Once we began posting optimized blog content consistently, the data began to trend upwards at an even faster rate.
After approximately 10 months, we saw a 283% increase in clicks and a 399% increase in impressions. With this growth, we helped the client achieve their goal of increasing their visibility in the SERPs, which also led to an increase in sales of their online courses.
