Boundaries are often seen as restrictions and limitations. But in all actuality, they are essential for growth both personally and professionally. In the video below, I share the power of establishing the right boundaries and the results of having them in place.

So boundaries are kind of lines in the sand of what you will do and what you want. And this has been something for me personally that I had to work a lot through not just as a business standard but also establishing boundaries in my personal life as well because when you don't have the right boundaries you end up chasing a lot of different things, and you end up dividing your attention into stuff. Sometimes it's not going to produce the greatest return on investment for you.

So one of the things that you need to do is kind of slow the process down for yourself and define what it is you actually want and then begin to build a culture around yourself. Begin to build a plan around yourself to put boundaries around things you will do, and you won't do so that you can actually reach your goal. Now I've had to do this multiple times in my business multiple times with certain marketing campaigns saying yes we'll do this but we won't do that. And what these boundaries do is it helps you bring in that singular focus on the goal.

It's very easy especially in today's world with new flashy tools and new tricks and tips coming out every day of how to hack the system to kind of want to jump and try everything new. What can happen is you can spread yourself so thin that you begin to get very very frustrated and you begin to kind of not see a great return because you've divided yourself into too many different areas. There's actually a lot of power in being singularly focused. Multitasking is a lie, and it will often derail your progress as a whole. And again I'm speaking from experience. This is a trap I fall into all the time but when I start to feel that tension in myself and I start to feel like I'm being pulled away from what I really want to do it creates a lot of tension in myself.

And what that is, it’s my mind telling my body and my mind telling me hey I need to slow down. I need to find out what it is I really want to accomplish and then I need to start building a plan around that putting some boundaries in place of what I'm going to do when I'm not going to do it that way I can get the result or hopefully closer to the result of what I'm looking for. So although this is a short episode it's a little bit different from marking tasks but trust me putting boundaries in your marketing putting them around your business and putting boundaries in your personal life are going to help you make sure that you get better results no matter what you're doing whether it be in search whether it be social whether it be content marketing whether it be building a business that you're proud of boundaries and limitations are actually those things that there are catalysts to real growth over time. Thanks again for watching and subscribe if you like it and we'll see you guys next week.
