It's pretty basic knowledge today that there is a direct correlation between content marketing and SEO. The Internet is fueled by content and it seems that the masses are as hungry as ever for it. But in order to get your content in front of your audience at the right time, you need to do two things. First, you need to create quality content (Read more about that here). And second, you need to optimize that content.  In this post, we'll focus on the second step.

Getting your blog post to appear on the first page of Google or on other search engines isn’t impossible, it just takes a lot of hard work. You have to do it right, smart, and consistently. Optimizing your content isn't as hard as it sounds. In fact, any business owner with a blog can benefit from taking a few extra minutes to make sure their content is both optimized for their users and search.

Below you'll find a 21 point  SEO blog post checklist created by Barry Feldman. In the infographic, you'll find practical and straightforward tips you can follow to help improve your blog post visibility on your own, without paying an SEO expert.

If you have a blog and you want to get it in front of more users, it must be optimized. By using the checklist above, you can be sure that your blog posts are ready for search. One thing I want to mention about adding mixed-media. Don't overload. Using video, audio, and other elements is great, but I recomeend using only one mixed-media element per post.
