How Using Hubspot Gives Our Inbound Marketing Strategy An EdgeEffective Inbound Marketing begins with strategy. You have to have a clear goal and a map to get there in order to have success. But after that, what’s next? In order to put your plan into action, you need to have the right tools. Automation software in nothing new, but there is a big difference between your average automation software and Hubspot. Along with marketing automation, Hubspot’s platform is full of powerful marketing tools that help keep your marketing focused and growth driven.

“A good leader should focus on making sure everyone is being given the tools to do their job, not just expecting - poof! - that they're going to produce great work”. - Anne Sweeney

In this week’s episode of the SMA Marketing Minute, we will take a look at how we use Hubspot to give our agency an edge and why you should consider making the investment for your business as well.

Video Transcript:

What's going on everybody? I'm Ryan Shelley. You're watching the SMA marketing minute.

When it comes to building and executing an effective inbound marketing strategy, you need to have quality tools. Now the tools aren’t going to get the job done for you, but having good tools in the hands of a good artist or a good strategist will help you maximize your ROI and help you get the most out of your inbound marketing campaign, strategy or whatever you're trying to do.

Here at Shelley Media Arts we use Hubspot. Hubspot, for those of you who don't know, is an online marketing software that really helps house all of the required tools for your inbound campaign under one roof. When it comes your marketing efforts, whether it be content marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, list segmentation and management, and understanding how to build workflows and lead nurturing, Hubspot is the leader and no one else even comes close.

Before we signed up with Hubspot our processes were kind of disjointed and we were seeing a lot of leads fall through the cracks. This occurred mainly because we're using different software to do different things and nothing talked to each other. Really we were trying to do it all piece-by-piece, by piecemealing it together. But actually putting all of our processes, all of our tools under one roof allowed us to really see where we were most effective in marketing, where we could improve our marketing and really where our personas are most interested in connecting with us.

Hubspot also has a CRM which is really awesome. I never used a CRM before getting set up with Hubspot. That has literally not just my changed my sales process but the way I reach out to my customers. Hubspot’s tools are extremely smart so you can actually can see when people come to your website, a timeline of when they're coming back, how they are interacting with your content. This really gives you that deeper insight you need and allows you to connect your marketing and your sales team together to know when you need to reach out to a prospect or how to reach out to a prospect in the most effective way.

When it comes to Hubspot, people often look at that and say “Wow, well that's really expensive,” but really when you look at the software and break down the numbers, what it would cost you in time and also buying other tools to achieve it, it’s actually very cost-effective and it quickly pays for itself.

We’ve seen our business grow over 120% in less than a year using Hubspot's marketing software platform and then putting a good strategy behind it. If you would like to learn a little bit more about inbound marketing, we would love to talk to you about that. Below is a free checklist where you can get started on building your own inbound marketing campaign. But really what’s going to set you apart is having those processes automated and having someone put a strategy behind those processes, along with having the right tools to get the job done.

Hope you guys like this episode and we'll see you next week.  Happy Marketing!
