How Inbound Marketing Can Turn Your Business Into a Brand!

branding strategies for Businesses While we would like to believe people don't judge books by their cover, the truth is they do. How you brand your business plays a large role in whether or not people will engage with you. Today's market is becoming more crowded and noisy. With so much competition, how can we market our products and services to get an advantage? By embracing new branding strategies we can get an edge in the market and stand out from the competition.

Some more help on branding your business:

Branding your business is more than just a fancy logo, it encompasses the entire marketing process of a product or service to increase the visibility in an over-saturated market. Inbound Marketing is the perfect way to create brand identity and loyalty to elevate your message above the noise. In order to accomplish this, you have to think differently. These 5 branding strategies will help give you a message that cuts through the noise and connects with your audience.

1. Know Your Audience

Your audience are the ones who decide whether or not your marketing and branding efforts are effective. As much as we would like to believe it, it's not all about us. In order to ensure we are developing a brand our audience finds compelling, we must do research. Understanding our buyer personas is the foundation to successful brand development and your marketing campaign.

2. Know Who You Are

Be true to yourself. I can't stress enough the importance of finding a balance between marketing to your audience and representing who you are. Pay attention to the little details. When it comes to developing your brand you must remember, everything communicates. So take time and think through every aspect of your brand from colors, fonts and logos to your website and social media accounts.

3. Review Competition

Pablo Picasso once said "Good artist borrow, great artist steal". This is a power quote when taking for it's true meaning. We must look at trends in the market and see what is working for our competitors. Then we take the good and leave the bad. We don't copy them exactly, but we use the principles and apply them to our marketing and branding efforts.

4. First Impressions Matter

You never get a second chance at a first impression. When branding your business online the first place your leads will go is most likely your website. What are you communicating? Is it dated or confusing? Is it optimized for mobile or take to long to load? Google shows people will leave your site if it takes more than 2 secs to load... crazy! By creating a great first impression the chances of your audience engaging with your brand increases significantly.

5. Clarify Your Message

K.I.S.S - Keep It Simple....Silly!!! Don't make your audience work to understand your brands message. They should be able to get it right away. If you have to explain your message, then your marketing has not done it's job. Stay away from confusing metaphors and focus more on what will connect your audience to your brand.

It's Time to Market Differently: A Argument for Inbound

The old way of building a brand is out dated and over saturated. This is why we love the Inbound Method. It keeps your marketing and branding efforts focused and forces you to really think through the process. A solid brand identity is the foundation to your long term marketing success.
